New website submitted to Google.

After slogging my *ss off for two  full days this weekend, my web-site is finally ready for publishing. It was nearly 11.00 pm and I was nearly dead on my feet when I got done with the coding.

What took more time is the fact that I suck at graphic design.  Otherwise, most of my text came from my older web-site whose progress I did not track.

Anyways, after I was done with the web-site,

I did not get a chance to go back and add Meta Description tags to the pages. Need to do that soon.

I wonder if Google will index my web-site at all if I do not put any link to the site from outside.

I guess I will wait for about a week before I start publishing articles on the web with links pointing to the site. That is almost guaranteed to add the site to the index.

I believe in putting my web-page out there even if there is no optimization done.

I wonder if you could recount your experiences regarding how fast your page gets indexed.

Does the site go to the Google Sandbox? If it does, how long does it stay there?

The Supplemental Index is supposed to have gone offline, so lets see.

If I start article marketing, will it still be in the supplemental index/or Sandbox or black hole or whatever?

Or will it come out and breathe again? Let’s wait and see.

Oh, by the way, this website is on the same IP as the previous web-site, both of which are online. How does that affect ranking?

Happy Hunting.

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog at WordPress.

My name is Dave Janardhanan and I am a marketer and small business software solutions expert.

This is the traditional Hello World blog.

( When you begin to write code in any technical language, your first program is invariably to create a button on the clicking of which, a Message Box appears that says, ” Hello World” ).

As the name suggests, I intend to use this blog to air my experiences with Search Engine Optimization.  I will be trying out various experiments to do with optimization.  Read more about this in my second post.

This is not by any means my first blog.

So far, I have been blogging on topics that were strictly off-business. All thanks to Jack Humphrey who finally got me started in serious business blogging.  His site is SocialPowerLinking.com. His Authority Black Book is an awesome reference on blogging. I read this first last year and was blown away. This year, I was in line to get the latest version.

Do leave a comment, if you find something that is useful.
